Morningstar Corporation welcomes Ang Zhu and David Johnson to our Jessup, Maryland design and engineering team.

Ang Zhu Ang joined Morningstar Corp. in February from Intertek Testing Services in NY, and he is serving as Senior Staff Compliance Officer.  He earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from South China School of Technology and a Master’s from NYU Tandon School of Engineering.  While at Intertek, Ang worked in their Energy Group, testing inverters and power supplies for Safety standards and certifications.  He brings to Morningstar an extensive knowledge of the certification process. In his role, Ang will work directly with our Product Management team to guide product development through certification and compliance regulations.

David joined the team in June 2020 as a Senior Test Engineer.  He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a BSEE and has specialized in test engineering throughout his career working for several MD companies: EVI, Epitaxial Technologies, Current Group, and most recently Autani Corporation.  He will help design and develop testing programs for new product development and assist with sustaining engineering.   He says he delights in “breaking what other engineers make to see what the product can take.”
