Browse our PWM and MPPT solar charge controllers below that support 24 volt battery systems in off-grid solar applications including telecom, oil & gas, security/surveillance, mining, lighting, street/railroad signaling, residential, rural electrification, RV-Caravan, and boating. A 24 volt system can produce twice the power of a 12 volt system at the same current, and systems that run at lower current are safer. Additionally, 24 volt systems support smaller diameter wires and smaller fuses which can save a considerable amount of money for systems with long wire runs. Also, if your system deploys an inverter, it may require a 24 volt rather than a 12 volt system.
Our 24 volt MPPT & PWM solar charge controllers deliver maximum performance and reliability. They are often used in off-grid security, lighting, mining, oil & gas, and telcom applications.
Different models are available with open circuit voltages (Voc) ranging from 30-150 volts. Digital and printed quick start guides, datasheets and operation manuals in various languages are provided to support the products.
When PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controllers are deployed, the array output voltage is ‘pulled down’ to the battery voltage. 24 Volt PWM charge controllers are typically recommended for smaller systems than similarly rated MPPT controllers.
Morningstar’s MPPT controllers with patented TrakStar MPPT technology, deliver more power than similarly rated PWM controllers to charge batteries and run loads. 24 Volt MPPT charge controllers are recommended for 24 Volt off-grid battery systems that require additional power and support for oversized arrays.
